More Information:
Pioneer’s Summer Camps are a visible experience of God’s invitation to come and welcome the stranger. Through amazing meals in the Dining Hall kids and youth can experience being a part of God’s Global Family and through fun camp activities like swimming out to play on the Wibit they are given the encouragement to take small steps of faith.
This year we would like to invite all college and university students considering volunteering at Pioneer – whether for the whole summer or just a single week – to come and participate in the Stranger Gospel Spring Camp to respond to the good news of Jesus through exploration and engagement with Luke’s gospel. This will count towards part of your summer staff training.
Throughout our annual camp, students experience Luke’s depictions of Jesus’ way of hospitality through programming like the daily tea times. While delighting in teas from different cultures, students can process their questions and be challenged to practically respond to Jesus’ invitation to cultivate Christ-centered lives.
Our Stranger Gospel Track gives space to explore the good news of Jesus who calls us to welcome the orphan, the widow, and the foreigner. Come prepare for summer ministry at camp by encountering Creator in scripture prayer and community with students across BC.
Through our Stranger Calling Track, offered to those who have previously attended spring camp, we inspire students to become holy collaborators with Jesus and help their peers cultivate faith in Jesus through a deep examination of Peter’s journey in Luke’s gospel.
