Our staff will be happy to meet you and your child on the first day of camp at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. You will find our Travel Coordinator waiting for you when you arrive to sign your child in, and they will be added to their travel group for the journey to Thetis Island. Once the group arrives on Vancouver Island all campers will be bussed to the Chemainus Ferry Terminal. Camp starts on the journey as campers begin making new friends and connecting with leaders. Our staff works closely with BC Ferries to ensure the safety of all. Please provide a bagged lunch for your camper to enjoy on their journey to camp. We will provide a bagged lunch for the return voyage. Please note that you will be required to sign your child in and out with our staff.

You will find a Pioneer Pacific Staff member waiting for you when you arrive to sign your child in, and your camper will be added to their travel group. Our travelers from the mainland will join your campers for the boat ride to Thetis Island. Camp starts on the journey as campers begin making new friends and connecting with leaders. Our staff works closely with BC Ferries to ensure the safety of all. Please note that you will be required to sign your child in and out with our staff.

Bring your child to camp in the comfort of your family vehicle. Drop your child off as the rest of the campers arrive. Come to the Camp Office and say “hi” as you sign your child in. At the end of the week come bright and early to pick up your camper. We will need you to stop by the office again to sign out your child. Leaving from Vancouver you will need to take a BC Ferries ferry from either Horseshoe Bay or Duke Point to Nanaimo. From there, drive south to Chemainus. At the Chemainus Ferry Terminal you will take the ferry over to Thetis Island. This ferry leaves from Chemainus several times a day. This is a 25-40 minute trip. Once you land at Thetis Island you can travel by vehicle to the Pioneer Pacific Camp site.

If you are travelling by boat or sea plane you must notify the office at 604.818.9762 prior to arrival so we can arrange pick-up for your camper. Please note that you will be required to sign your child in and out with our staff.
